Sun releases JavaFX, probably competitor to Silverlight#

Interesting to see that Sun has released JavaFX, a framework for quickly building compelling user interfaces quickly for Java Enabled devices and machines. I can definitely see it going head to head against Silverlight.

Expression studio will be part of MSDN - Yes!!#

Fantastic, Microsoft has finally realised that releasing Expression Studio with MSDN is a good idea. These tools while primarily targeted at Designers require developer integration and buy-in. So software folk like me who have an interest can now properly play with and demonstrate the value of Expression Studio within a development life cycle. Nice one Microsoft!

The future of user interfaces#

Okay, so this is not strickly Microsoft, but this YouTube video on multi-touch sensing screens is amazing. I could imagine some amazing interfaces with the combination of WPF and a intractive screen like this. The mind just completely boggles. I just wanna know how I can get one now!!! Nice work Jeff, can you send one to New Zealand? We'll do some cool shit stuff with it!!!!

Rideme?????#

Okay, so I could not resist posting on this. Check out www.rideme.co.nz - not only is it the worst web UI since, well since I took over support of a recent badly designed commercial website (that shall remain nameless) but it's also a case of WTF? I meant what was something thinking with a name called rideme... RIDEME of all things!
